The owners of small PR and marketing agencies often ask what I’m seeing in terms of business trends. I’ll share my anecdotal reports, but I have always felt it would be nice to have some more solid data to work with.
When it comes to the economy, there are plenty of sources of information, but agencies get lumped in with all sorts of other businesses.
Even in the agency space, there are plenty of annual indexes and other surveys, but most of them tend to focus on larger firms.
That’s why SAGA has begun a quarterly survey of agency owners to look at how things are going and how they are feeling about the next 12 months.
The Small Agency Business Review & Outlook will include a small group of questions repeated each quarter that focus on the general outlook, but each quarter will also incorporate a deeper look at specific aspects of the business.
For Q3 of 2024, the deep dive focuses on Business Development. The survey will close on August 2, 2024 with the findings released shortly thereafter.
