SAGA was founded by longtime agency owner and entrepreneur Chip Griffin, who created the organization to share both the wisdom of success and the lessons learned from failure. At the core of SAGA’s work is the Build to Own philosophy — the belief that there is no reason to take on the risk and stress of ownership if the business does not give back what the owner wants from it.

Founder & CEO

Chip Griffin is the founder of SAGA, where he works with owners of PR and marketing agencies to help them build businesses they actually want to own. An experienced entrepreneur and agency owner himself, Chip brings more than two decades of firsthand experience building, growing, buying, and selling businesses.

His work focuses on advisory and consulting support for owner-led agencies navigating growth, profitability, talent challenges, and long-term planning. At the core of his approach is a belief that there is no reason to take on the risk and stress of ownership if the business does not give back what the owner wants from it.

Chip has held leadership roles inside agencies and global organizations, is a sought-after speaker and commentator, and has been creating content since the late 1990s.

JEN GRIFFIN

SAGA Community Manager

Jen Griffin works with small agency owners to help connect them to the best resources that SAGA has to offer.

She is a constant presence in the SAGA Community on Slack and on various social networks to share the latest insights.

Jen also serves as a concierge of sorts for SAGA clients and community members to help them get what they need in order to grow their agencies successfully.

With a background in customer service and agency administration, Jen brings practical experience to her role and ensures the community’s needs are met.
